The broadcast network will be responsible for taking live feeds from all stadia and relaying them to the International Broadcasting Centre in Pragati Maidan, from where it will be sent to the broadcasters.
The games data network will help coordinate activities such as ticketing, related logistics etc.
Security data network, which also comprises of optical fiber network, will transmit security related information inter and intra stadium to facilitate secure and trouble free operation and management of Games in different stadia.
Jain said that while security data network has already been tested, the other two ie games data network and broadcast network connections will be tested only when players and officials arrive for practice.
Talking about the cost incurred during preparations, Jain said that MTNL has laid an optical fibre network running 400 km. This project cost the company Rs 100 crore.
On the other hand, the PSU spent Rs 400 crore to deploy communication equipment for its internet protocol and multi protocol label switching next generation network technology.
Total cost incurred by MTNL is about Rs 500 crore, which is Rs 50 crore more than the funds earmarked for the PSU.
