MTS launches its first Android smartphone for free

Customers just need to sign up for a monthly rental up Rs 1500 with a commitment of 12 months for the HTC Pulse smartphone.

 MTS has launched its first Android smartphone, HTC Pulse in India for Rs 18,003.

The new smartphone is the first from MTS which is based on Android operating system (Android 2.1). The smartphone is free. Customers just need to sign up for a monthly rental of Rs 1500 with a commitment of 12 months.
Users would get a talk time worth Rs 1500 along with free 1500 smses and free data usage of 1500 MB per month for twelve months.
The phone has 3.2 TFT LCD capacitive touch screen with a five megapixel camera and 32 GB of expandable memory. The phone is compatible with dual band CDMA network and consists of internal GPS antenna.
The new launch of MTS comes at a time when it has crossed the psychological 10 million mark.
Meanwhile, Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL), MTS is a CDMA brand of it, has unveiled a new identity with a new tag line, A Step Ahead.more:tmi
