Informate Mobile Intelligence, a Mumbai-based telecom research company, released a report which says that Ovi tops the list of destinations for mobile content seekers while Gmail is the top webmail site in terms of reach as well as page views, in India. The sample base for the research, informed Informate, was above 2000.
Among mobile content destinations Ovi topped the list with more than 15 per cent of the total downloads, followed Getjar, Mobango, Brothersoft and Song.pk. While Getjar registered little over 10 per cent of downloads, Mobango, Brothersoft, Song.pk saw downloads between 5 per cent to 10 per cent mark.
Among webmail providers, Gmail, with 70.1 per cent page views was followed by Yahoo Mail, Windows Live and Rediffmail, with 24.7 per cent, 1.9 per cent and 0.8 per cent page views, respectively.
