Aircel inks pact with Blyk

Telecom service provider Aircel today entered into an agreement with UK based multi-media mobile messages firm Blyk to offer interactive content to Aircel users.
As per the engagement, Aircel users availing the Blyk services will be sent content of their interest, including on entertainment, sports, lifestyle, fashion, wellness, gadgets city specific events, dating and relationships tips among others.
Existing Aircel users will have to pay a one time charge of Rs 74 for availing the services.
Aircel Chief Operating Officer Gurdeep Singh said,"Today the youth comprises over 51 per cent of the total population in India and a large percentage of the youngsters are using the mobile. Blyk on Aircel brings for the youth an interactive experience and brand engagement."
Chairman, Blyk India and Co-founder, Blyk Worldwide Antti Ohrling said, "In a much cluttered Indian market youth brands are warmly welcoming a high engagement communication channel like Blyk.
Blyk on Aircel users will be sent content by way of messages, both SMS and MMS, across categories. As users respond to the content and indicate their preferences, after a period of 6-8 weeks, they are then sent content from their areas of interest and finally that is tailored to their individual preferences.
