Notion Ink's Adam has been playing hard to get (or hard to make?). Adam is a computer tablet being developed by a Bengaluru based company. It has generated quite a fan following so far due to plenty of speculation and queries from would be users about how the device will turn out.
The hardware specs of the device include a 1 GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 dual core Arm Cortex A9 Mpcore processor, a 1GB DDR2 667 MHz RAM, and a 3.2 mega pixel swivel camera which can rotate by 185 degrees. It also has a built in microphone, Pixel Qi transflective LCD screen, GPS and Bluetooth 2.1.
A blog post by Notion Ink says the team has been working really hard to get the product off the ground. The blog further talks about releasing a video every day that will talk about at least one of Adam tablet's features.
The Notion Ink team claims it doesn't edit video so users can see the real thing just as it is. The video so far only shows how the tablet actually performs with plenty of apps loaded in its memory.
Although the user interface is really smooth, some choppiness in motion does become apparent, particularly when things on the screen become complicated. But in the middle of the video a piece of hardware (which we were not able to figure out) is added to the device and it works really well.
Adam tablet also turns into an e reader with the touch of a button.
