Airtel launches services in Patna, which is the 17th city to get the service from the operator. Airtel also Announces national launch of video IVR on Airtel 3G.
Bharti airtel has launched 3G services in Patna. Airtel has already launched 3G services in 16 other cities including Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai. Patna is the 17th city to get this service from Airtel.This will bring in fast internet access and a host other services such as mobile TV, video calls, live streaming of videos and on the go social networking.
Raghunath Mandava, operations director, east, mobile services, Bharti airtel said, "We believe Airtel 3G will lead the revolution of internet in Bihar, bringing our customers closer to an all new world of possibilities."
To provide internet accessibility for computers and laptop users, Airtel also has introduced special HSPA 3G dongles for customers.
Airtel also announced the national launch of a suite of video Interactive Voice Response (IVR) products, which will help even non-internet users to use video streaming to enjoy the power of 3G services on their mobile phones.
With this, Airtel 3G customers can now also make calls to video IVR to access various video products like live darshan, video talkies and video portal.
Airtel 3G plan start at minimum of Rs 11 and goes up to Rs 750 (gives 2GB data access). The only unlimited plan is available in Rs 675 where a consumer gets 1.25 GB at full 3G speed and thereafter is charged 1 paisa for 100KB at an extremely slow speed of 20 Kbps till they reach Rs 2000 bill and there after data usage is free (at such slow speed you won't reach this speed).
There is no special data pack available for data card though.MORE:TMI
