Nokia Lumia 1020 with 41MP camera

Nokia has unveiled a new Lumia phone with a powerful 41MP camera that promises sharper images, even in low light.

The Nokia Lumia 1020, powered by Windows Phone 8, was introduced on Thursday at an event in New York. The 41MP camera records more detail than other camera phones and even tops point-and-shoot cameras. More pixels mean more sensors for capturing the light that forms an image.

Nokia Cuts Smartphone Prices

Nokia has cut the prices of its smartphones in Europe, two industry sources told Reuters on Tuesday, raising the possibility of a more intensive price war in the mobile phone market.
Nokia's smartphones are rapidly losing market share to phones running on Google's Android operating platform, and the Finnish company is expected to report losses for the second and third quarters this year.

Nokia E6 is now Available for Pre-order

Nokia’s latest Symbian Anna smart phone, the E6 is now available for pre-order in India. The handset is the first Touch & Type Monobloc design with full QWERTY by Nokia and it is now available at selected Nokia Priority Stores for demo, so customers can have an experience with the device before they can order one. The E6 is priced at Rs. 17,999/-.

Nokia's Windows Phone 7 device coming this year

It was reported that Nokia was probably waiting for Mango update from Microsoft. This announcement puts all speculation at rest.

 Finnish handset maker Nokia has started working on its first smartphone based on the Microsoft software.
While confirming this, Stephen Elop, chief executive officer of Nokia, has also refuted speculation that a Microsoft acquisition of the company is inevitable.

Nokia brings mobile banking services

After major telecom service providers, it's the turn of mobile phone manufacturer Nokia, which has started mobile banking services in partnership with a bank. Nokia will use its retail chain strength to reach to the unbanked population.

 Union Bank of India (UBI), and Nokia, have launched mobile money service across India, starting with the National Capital Region.
