Bharti Infratel appoints Devender Singh Rawat as CEO

Bharti Infratel, a subsidiary of Bharti Airtel, today announced the appointment of Devender Singh Rawat as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
As CEO of Bharti Infratel, Devender would be responsible for putting together and driving a concrete long-term strategy for the company and proactively handling matters relating to business augmentation, operations and service excellence.
He would also be responsible for key transformation projects such as energy saving and deployment of renewable energy-saving solutions, Classic IT (CIT) business process automation and the state-of-the-art Network Operating Centre (NOC).
Devender, who succeeds Prem Pradeep, would be reporting to Akhil Gupta, Managing Director, Bharti Infratel Ltd.
Bharti Infratel Ltd figures among India's leading telecom passive infrastructure service providers. The company deploys, owns and manages telecom towers and communication structures for various mobile operators across 18 states in India.
It has a vast footprint of over 30,000 towers, and holds 42 per cent stake in Indus Towers Ltd -- a joint venture between Bharti Infratel, Vodafone and Idea Cellular.
