Amity University has made life easier for its students by providing all information related to the university at the click of a button!
The Noida-based private university has launched a mobile application through which students can access the university intranet via their iPhones, iPod Touch or iPad. However, the application is not available on other operating systems as of now.
According to the university, the application would soon be available on Nokia, Blackberry and Android phones as well.
However, we fail to understand that why did Amity University not launch the application first on these platforms and later on Apple, as iPhones are not so popular in India and iPad is not even available! Whereas Android phones are now available for as low as Rs 7000 and Nokia too has started introducing low cost feature rich phones.
The application allows Amity students to access university intranet – Amizone – and go through time table, attendance, course structures, recorded lectures, exam grades, online library, suggestion box etc, all on their mobile phones.
Apart from this, this application also enables parents to access their ward's attendance and exam grades, and faculty can even mark attendance of students on intranet database through this application using their mobile phones.
