iPhone to have a new Twitter app soon

Twitter is likely to come with an iPhone application soon that will give the users an option of getting access to a faster and more convenient way of stay connected.

In the first step towards achieving this goal, yesterday Twitter had launched a desktop application for Mac in which tweets appear on the screen in real time and even the URLs are shortened automatically.
Twitter was earlier available as Tweetie for Mac, and the new version is three times faster than the earlier version, says Twitter's Carolyn Penner. If you still don't get the hang of it, it's like massive group of people talking together with people having the option to stay quiet also (but they can still be part of the conversation by reading it).
Users were consistently asking Twitter for a new version of Tweetie, and the new version fulfills the demand for just that. Twitter, which was launched in 2006, has about 175 million users. According to Sysomos.com, most of the growth in Twitter has come after 2009, and before that Twitter was growing at a slower and steadier rate.
